Aluminium Poles
Aluminium is highly resistant to corrosion and is an excellent option for coastal applications. Vizona offers a range of pole profiles to suit many applications and fitting types.
Aluminium is highly resistant to corrosion and is an excellent option for coastal applications. Vizona offers a range of pole profiles to suit many applications and fitting types.
After 20 years in the industry of manufacturing poles, Vizona has recognised a need for Aluminium Poles to suit certain applications. Aluminium is an excellent alternative in very corrosive environments such as coastal locations and server industrial environments.
Durability
Aluminium structural extrusions are made from alloys that are weather-proof, corrosion-resistant, and immune to the harmful effects of UV rays, ensuring optimal performance over a very long lifetime.
Flexibility
Aluminium’s combination of properties mean that it can be easily worked by most industrial metalworking processes, including extrusion, rolling, forging, and casting, Catering for virtually unlimited design potential.
Corrosive Resistance
Aluminium’s natural oxide coating provides an effective protective barrier against the elements.
Lightweight
Aluminium’s lightweight quality makes it cheaper and easier to transport and handle on site.
Strength
The use of aluminium in pole construction assists Designers to meet performance specifications while minimising expenditure on footings. Alloyed aluminium can be as strong as steel at only a 35% of the weight.
Fire Safety
Aluminium does not burn and is therefore classified as a non-combustible material. Aluminium has a melting temperature of 600 – 650°C and if subjected to these extreme conditions melts without releasing harmful gases.
Recyclability
Aluminium is 100% reusable and only requires 5% of the energy to reform it to as it did to make the original product. 95% of aluminium used in pole manufacturing is recycled.
Vizona provide unique urban lighting solutions built for Australian conditions. We have adapted our product range to use materials that are resilient, long-lasting and that have a minimal carbon footprint.
